ATHENA SYSTEM identifies the need for a supply of Single Unit Doses and sends the request to the Logistics Centre, which manages their replenishment.
The request arrives at the Logistics Centre where, starting from the original packaging of the drug, the Calypso creates the different types of single doses.
The Single Unit Doses are then transported to the plants that have requested them.
The Single Unit Doses arrive at the Hospital Pharmacy and are loaded into Pegasus, which orders them according to the nearest expiry date.
Using a dedicated device, the doctor sends the patient's personalised Therapy request to the Hospital Pharmacy.
Within the Hospital Pharmacy, Pegasus produces the requested Therapy.
The therapy can be delivered to the ward in different ways, including: medical staff, AGV robots, pneumatic post.
The Therapy arrives to the patient and is validated by the attendant using Bed Side Scanning, which verifies and confirms its accuracy.
